What is a Sound Bath?

A sound bath is a deeply relaxing experience where you are immersed in the soothing vibrations of various instruments such as crystal quartz bowls. These healing sounds and vibrations work gently with your energy, helping to balance the chakras, release blockages, and restore harmony to body, mind and spirit.

Modern life asks a lot of our nervous systems. Busy schedules, constant notifications and pressure to keep going means that many of us spend our days in a heightened state of alert, often without realising it. Over time, this can leave us feeling tense, fatigued and disconnected from rest.

Sound bathing is a gentle, time-honoured practice that uses vibration and rhythm to guide the brain into slower wave states and encourage deep rest, emotional release, and a renewed sense of clarity. In these states, the nervous system has space to soften, the breath naturally slows, and the body can begin to release held tension.

The best part? All you need to do is lie back, get comfortable, receive, and allow the sound to guide you into a state of calm and renewal.

Frequently asked questions

Sound baths are generally safe and gentle, but they may not be suitable for those with epilepsy, for those in the first trimester of pregnancy and for those with a pacemaker or metal implants. If you are unsure, please consult a healthcare professional before attending.

Not at all. Sound baths are suitable whether you are completely new to meditation or have an established practice. You only need to relax and absorb the sounds.

It is very common to drift in and out of sleep - and that is perfectly okay. Your body will still absorb the benefits of the sound

Everyone's experience is unique. Many people feel deeply relaxed, lighter or more balanced. Others notice increased clarity or emotional release. Some experience better sleep and feel re-energised. Effects of the sound bath can last as long as 72 hours.

Yoga mats, blankets and pillows are provided for fully hosted offerings only. Please check this upon booking. You may want to bring an eye mask and a bottle of water. Comfort and warmth is key as you will be in stillness for the duration of the session.
